Extremely low TSH

My medication was finally changed to Armour in December. I could immediately tell a difference

In my energy level. However, I continued to have a feeling of someone strangling me. So my

Environmental specialist(I also have chemical poisoning) decided to experiment a bit. I would take

90 one day and 120 the next to see if I felt better. With 120 I had energy throughout the day.

Then I went to my new Endo and he looked at my blood work and was very worried. He told me

My T4 level was very good but my TSH was .024 and was not good at all. He then told me that this

Causes subclinical Hyperthyroidism.

I'm a little lost on this -as I am not at the weight I should be and I am definitely not losing any! Does anyone out there know what this means?

No actually it doesn't!! Your endo is talking through the wrong orifice!! In taking ANY sort of thyroxine the TSH is and can be repressed and it should be taken that the thyroxine is doing its job!! Are you getting Hyper symptoms? If you are then yes, OK you may need to lower your dosage but DO IT YOURSELF, do not let the doctor titrate your meds by measuring your TSH alone. It is fairly easy to adjust your dose yourself, if your doctor does it you will almost certainly have a fight on your hands to get it raised again if you need to.

TOO LITTLE thyroid hormone causes more illnesses and problems than too much, you are soon aware if you take too much but can be ill for years by not taking enough.

Thank you for such a quick response! I have felt bad for so long that I really don't know what is hyper.

Here are my symptoms:

Memory loss

Loss of hair

Hoarseness- voice change

Muscle and joint pain

Sciatica

Cold and hot tolerance

Fatigue

Dry skin

Muscle loss

Constipation

Weight gain

Dry eyes

Muscle weakness

* I've had these issues way before changing my med to Armour. I do feel Armour is helping with my energy

Level.

When I started on this adventure (3 1/2yrs ago) I had gained 30 pounds in one season and knew something was wrong. I am still about 15 pounds from my original weight. Also, I did not know that I had chemical poisoning until just 2 months ago. I had to leave my job because I could not concentrate and was extremely tired. I can no long put in 3 mile walks. I'm lucky to get in 1/2 a mile!

Have you any Hyper symptoms? Your TSH can be suppressed no matter what medication you take and tends to be harmless. You are more at risk of disease and illness if you do not take ENOUGH medication than too much, you can generally tell by symptoms if you are hyper or hypo.
