Hi all,
I had cataract surgery in my left eye a year and a half ago. I’ve been ok since then, not happy being monofocal but otherwise ok. However, since two months ago I’ve been feeling a lot of discomfort when I am outside. It builds up, at first I am more or less ok but half an hour later it starts being very unpleasant. At first I thought it could be hay fever but it’s not. My eye starts feeling dry and I end up rubbing it. It’s like there’s too much light coming through my left eye, although it’s difficult to describe. It’s also like the two eyes don’t coordinate well. Wearing sunglasses helps. But the problem happens even when it’s cloudy, just being outside. And sometimes even inside in front of the laptop.
I went to the optician and he said everything is ok, and don’t come back in two years (every time I have a problem I feel very misunderstood). He said there’s no uveitis, the lens is ok… he just recommended wearing sunglasses, but that only alleviates the problem and I don’t want to wear sunglasses all the time because it rests vision.
Any idea what may be the problem? I’ve been thinking on asking my GP for some steroid drops in case there’s imflammation.
Thank you very much for any help, am starting to be very tired of this new problem
