Eye Problem

Hey been diagnosed with mild dry eye and blepharitis, the itchyness and dryness isn't actually too bad, i was just wondering why my right eye all the time feels like there is pressure behind it, my vision in that eye is slightly out of focus compared to the left and i always get headaches around that eye, having said that my eye doctor says that my eye pressures are fine just a bit dry, any ideas? Thanks

Dry eye is a pain in the caboose. Left untreated can cause serious issues.blurred vision, and loss of clarity, even worse.

treatment is generally prescribed by UR optatrician. Prescription for eye drops, salves and sterile non preservative saline solution drops USED frequently during the day.

continue to treat daily with eye drops, cold compresses and rest the eye 20 minutes every few hours..very impotant if computer light is a constant sourse of light. It will dry eys out faster . Special computer glazed lenses can be purchased and regular check up.

Thanks for the tips I do have eye drops off my Opthamologist which i was reluctant to use at first because they stung a bit but i am using them 1/2 times a day now. I was also reluctant because i heard using eye drops too frequently makes your eyes rely on the drops a bit too much and they dont produce as much tears? Not sure how true that is.

Anyway my eyes used to be really bad and gritty a couple months back but now they arent so bad, just like i said the pain rather than irritation, of course i do get grittyness from time to time but its not as bad as it was. I was just wondering what made them better the first time was optilast drops which my doctor gave me a while ago but that is for allergies i'm sure? Since i have blepharitis and dry eye that came on so suddenly when i have never had any problems before it is possible that i have an allergy to something? Just seems so strange that i'm only 20 with no problems in the past and all of a sudden it develops out of the blue.

As for the computer i use a computer a few hours a day like i said i turned down the brightness and make sure to blink regularly so my eyes dont dry out, because i thought it was the lack of blinking that was the issue but is it more the lack of blinking or the light?

Anyway thanks for the reply it has been helpful

Hi Riggs,

thanks for UR reply.

Dry eye is a catch 22. Always protect eyes from the glare of incandescent lighting red and blue hues they project r very hard on dry eye.as well as always protect eyes from the ultra lights in the sun.

The red spectrum from the sun cannot be seen by us humans...that is the most dangerous of them all.
