My eye has been red for a couple months now. it goes away once i use eye drops but eventually comes back to being red. a quarter arc/ring has developed around my iris as well. attached is a picture of what it looks like. the second photo is the non irritated eye
Can I ask what type of eye drops you are using?

This may be part of the problem. Both of those drops are redness relievers. You should not be using them daily. They can actually irritate the eye and cause redness. I would try a lubricating drop instead, like Systane, Refresh, etc. Id try that , it may take a few days for the redness and inflammation to resolve but I think it will help greatly.
