Hi I had an ST Fusion February 2019 and have been hAving pains since June 2019…I am a combat Veteran of 13 years 1 tour in Iraq so i’ve been seeing a surgeon at the VA…not surgeon who fused my ankle…so after many months try pt stretches night splint nsaids and custom orthotics and injections my dr ordered a new mri and i will see him next Wednesday the 26th..ive read the report but Dr will explain it and give me a treatment plan..so what I’ve read is i have a failed ST union, planar fasciitis, split tear in my peroneal tendon, torn ATFL torn PTFl and chondral erosion on my talus i guess…I’m assuming some of this happened on a slip and fall last December…so anyone dealt with any of this im looking for advice..i want to talk to my surgeon if i have a revision or more in depth fusion i would prefer not to wear a boot i think thats where my non union happened when i was in boot id take it off feeling better and i think i rushed it…
