i am on week 5 of increase from 5 to 10. My biggest problem is the fatigue and tiredness i experience. Does this get better with time? I dont want to stop this medicine bit its been so hard to function.
im currently coming off it and im down to 6mg, whilst on it i got diagnosed with fibromyalgia which i now believe was just the citalopram causing the symptoms ie pain fatigue, terrible drug!
Sorry I disagree. This drug helps many people on this forum just because it doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean it’s a terrible drug. This forum is about making positive contributions to try and help people not make them feel worse!
totally agree paul .celexa totally save my life.sorry it didnt work for you toria.but dont knock it!
Hi Michele.the tiredness and fatigue is side effects from going from 5 mgs too 10 mgs.You will always get some side effects when you go up or down the levels ,but this will always start to get less and less side effects as the medication builds up within your body.
you probably dont have fibro at all this medicine very famous for doctors misdiagnosing folks with other illnesses because of the side effects of celexa .paula on this forum who was on celexa got mis diagnose quite a few times and so did i because of the way this med mimics other illnesses due to long lasting side effects that doctors cant comprehend.so they go on and give a diagnose to get rid of you or make you feel mentally comfortable.so if i was you i wait until i was completely off celexa and check the fibro again.good luck toria
thank you, im trying to stick it out since the anxiety has gotten so much better. i just would have thought 5 weeks was enough time.
Im at 9 weeks and still tired. It’s getting better though. Hang in there
Are you trying g another one at all, antidepressant
no im getting off all meds and doing things naturally, docs dont know enough about these drugs and what damage they do longterm the fda printed a really scary story about ssris in 2007, the problem is theyre hell to get off but i will
im entitled to my opinion! not enough known about using these drugs longterm
Hi! Yes the fatigue stayed with me for many weeks with a dose increase. It does ease up and go away. It’s difficult I know but it’s been quite early yet.
i had it terrible but yes it does get a lot better
the same fda that approved blood pressure medication are now warning patients that there is cancer causing chemicals in the ingredients.so i dont trust no one not even natural meds .natural meds come with there own drama as well.
