i am going through menopause. i have a place on my leg that is swollen its not a knot or cyst my doctor said it appeard to be fatty tissue he sent me to have an ultrsound just to make sure it wasnt a blood clot and it wasnt he said to ease my mind he would send me to have an mri on it but my insurance denied it has anyone else had problems like this?
Does it just feel like a marble or something under your skin? I have had a spot like that on my right thigh for as long as I can remember. I saw a doctor about it years ago and was told it was just a lipoma, which is just a lump of fatty tissue. I’ve never had any tests done on it and it’s never changed size. It doesn’t hurt and I don’t even know it’s there unless I’m rubbing or scratching my leg in that spot. Hopefully that’s all yours is, too!
Yes I have those on my leg and hip. My dr didn’t send me for a scan on them at all.
I had something similar. It felt like a fatty (spongy) marble beneath my skin. I only noticed it when I was applying lotion. At any rate, I was concerned that it was something terrible, therefore my doctor ordered an ultrasound. Turned out to be nothing. Did not order an MRI.
