Been really silly this afternoon no anxious thoughts just sat eating crisp and I realised I have a stupid habit where I move like the back muscle in my throat like where your tonsils are well I moved it and had crisp still in my mouth so it got caught I panicked and nearly choked my voice went all weird and I had to get a drink still have the choking feeling but I guess that's anxiety hopefully anyways ! Now I have the fear of choking while eating I had this before also had the fear of drinking unless I new I was fully holding my breathe it's so weird I pick up some really bad habits out of no where I don't know if there nervous habits or what I burp a lot ect does anybody have any tips on how not to choke or to make me realise I'm doing these silly habits while eating because I'm scared I'm going to stop eating again 😢 never ending story ....
Oh no.... Don't over think when you are swallowing. Do you feel you are obsessing about it? If you are try breaking food into smaller pieces until you feel able to eat bigger bits again. My bet is that they is nothing physically wrong.

You are not going to choke.
Its not a silly habit you've got its just anxiety which you must keep telling yourself.
If you become aware of your heart beating when in an anxious state of mind your anxiety will make you think all sorts and because it increases your anxiety it makes your heart best faster and stronger so you notice it more and the cycle continues until you stop focusing on it w hich only comes when you accept that it is your anxiety and nothing else, definitely not a heart attack.
