I have been feeling so detached with anxiety and so worried about my physical health every single day that I'm mostly alert and can never really try to relax myself without having to worry and try telling myself that I will be fine. My head is normally filled with negative thoughts and I'm always in fear if I might not wake up one day which concerns me with how severe my anxiety symptoms are and usually I have a hard time coping with them alone. My symptoms are normally feeling shaky, numb feet and hands, sweaty palms, difficulty breathing, feeling dizzy or feeling as if I might pass out, heart beating fast, chest pains, difficulty concentrating, brain fog. Has anyone felt somewhat similar like this with anxiety and how to control whenever you feel so anxious out of nowhere?
Amanda you are one of millions and millions of people all over the world with the exact same symptoms. Anxiety is extremely common and so are all your symptoms. So you are definitely not alone. It’s a daily struggle for people and the number one reason for people to get counseling. just so you know, the mind is a very powerful thing and when people have anxiety, our mind tends to go to the negative and to fear. So that’s the challenge. but always remember that those negative thoughts are just that. They are only thoughts and they are not based on fact or reality.
The symptoms of anxiety are not going to hurt you in anyway. In fact they are not the problem. The problem is the unmanaged anxiety that causes the symptoms.
I have been through this for a long time and I know for a fact that mental attitude plays a huge role in anxiety and its symptoms! Constant negative thoughts will train the brain to always go there automatically. That happened to me. I have to work my self out of that by retraining my thoughts and being determined to not let fear take over my thoughts. And my life.
thats why I highly suggest that you get some help with this because it’s difficult to do alone. You can do online or virtual counseling. But definitely get some support. Think of your life and what is causing your anxiety and then discuss this with a counselor.
to get some immediate help when you are feeling extremely anxious, search YouTube for something called stop panic attacks now. Then scroll down to one called don’t panic. It’s in black bold letters. She talks you through your anxiety and it really is effective! When you learn how to breathe properly, it settles everything way down. There are also many other meditations for anxiety that will relax you , Don’t take life too seriously, do things that make you smile and laugh. there’s also a great book called finding quiet. I have read it several times. Take care
This is all common with anxiety mate, this is what I’m going through. Add on to these symptoms a tight chest and nerves going hey wire many times throughout the day.
I’m not qualified to give you a diagnosis, whether it’s generalised anxiety or health anxiety (hypochondria) you’re experiencing.
All I can say is throughout my journey with this damn mental issue I have been diagnosed with a number of them along with manic depressive disorder.
