Fear of seizures, it is getting worse.

Hi, everyone.

I'm a newbie here and come on here this evening to talk about my problems.

It seems like this obsession I have with seizures is getting out hand. Ever since looking at the video of a woman that suffered it. She had MS. I am worried that I might have one also.

I accidentally gave myself a scare. I went on Google to do research on it and found out that staying up or lacking of sleep can cause one to happened.

In July, I experienced insomnia due to my thoughts keeping me awake and anxiety. I have stayed up since 5 or 7am, but sometimes will go to sleep early.

I really don't want to suffer a seizure. There are these symptoms where I am getting tension in the back of my head, dizziness, racing thoughts, difficulty speaking, taste in mouth, and feel of fainting but didn't faint.

Can a seizure occur in days, months, weeks, etc?

Someone please help me!

I am tired of living like this. It's causing me to stay home and stopping me from doing things I love.

Ugh!

Deanna.

Have you ever had a seizure before? If not I wouldn't worry about having one. Most people if they are awake too long just crash and fall asleep. Maybe you could try a natural sleep aid like melatonin gummies to help you fall asleep. I would check with a doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medication.

Nope, I never had one and can I do any natural remedies for sleep? I am not use to taking pills lol.

They aren't really pills...they are gummies and it's all natural. You might want to try it. Doctor's even recommend them for children who can't sleep.

Hi

I. Am going through the same thing.

I had a car accident when i was 14 and suffered a severe brain injury i am now 24 and i have never had a seizure. I now have generalized and health anxiety i get all different sensations over my body and head and panick thinking the worse. My new anxiety is seizures now because i found out you are likely to have one with a brain injury straight away or two weeks later or 2 years later. Iv done 10 years and havent had one. I keep telling myself the longer you dont have one the less likely you are going to have one. Its hard to tell yourself that though when you have a anxiety attack. Iv also had a EEG test and everything is normal.

Dees

If you have not had a seizure stop worrying the chances are slight. Does your family have a history of this problem ?

However you are suffering Anxiety and I would advise you talk to your GP. The Doctor will try  to put your mind to rest. So stop worrying

Also leave Google alone all you will do is make yourself unhappy and begin to worry for no reason
