Had 4th yes 4th knee in left leg. It sometimes feels it's on a rachet team can hear n feel movements.sometimes knee feels like shrinks n can't put foot to floor when knee drops into place it's fine. Leg gave way last wk and I fell. Paramedic called and witnessed this with my knee. Does anyone else experience this? Thx
Are you saying this is the fourth TKR on your left? What happened that you have had this done four times?

Have you gotten a different surgeon, or had these four done by the same doctor? Maybe his technique is lacking...(?) There are other factors I suppose that could contribute to the implant failing, having to do with the material in the implant, but I'm only guessing. Weight issues, pushing too hard too soon, pivoting while putting weight on it has been warned against. My surgeon said there's very little bone healing because it is cemented in place. Perhaps other surgeons use a different kind of bone cement. Ask questions and try to find out to the best of your ability what the key is to success. Your joint surely can't be going through this many more times without problems in leg length and so on...Where are your doctors located?
Hi Lynnfour different surgeons one of these done my right leg it's great.last one was professor. My left leg has always been in bad way.asked loads questions have new issues again now.I have had great aftercare but will have to accept way things are unfortunately
