Hello everyone. I have been on 10mg citalopram for two weeks and not feeling too much different apart from nausea and diarhoea. I know it is early days for me and low dose (don't think I could tolerate a higher dose at the moment) but would love to hear feedback from other users regarding their experience on citalopram, good and bad.
Lyn,
This is my second stint on citolapram as well and in midst of my second week. I'm also on 10 mgs of it as well. From past experience, it will get bettter. I do take Imodium every now and then bc of the meds. But it will all subside once your body adjust to it. You are at the point where you should see the light at the end of the tunnel. It will get better. But tell you the truth, the dr might up the dosage once you're adjusted. If you need anything let me know.
Thanks brian1374. Have you started to feel any benefits yet?
Hi Lynmarie...in my experience citalopram has been a life saver. I started off on 10mg last September and adjusted to them straight away...with no side effects. I'm currently on 30mg and have been since November 2017! And never looked back! I have no plans to come off them as yet...and my GP has no plans to take me off them either. I was in such a dark place for a long time before citalopram...and I can't believe I suffered for so long! I don't feel elated...and I don't feel like I'm walking on sunshine...I just feel 'normal' again! Lots of people do suffer side effects from the med...I think I've been one of the lucky ones...I guess it all depends on the individual and the needs for taking it. Good luck sweetie...take each day as it comes ππ»βΊοΈ X
