Feel dizziness, Lightheadedness, shortness of breath, confused and panic

Hello everyone,

I am facing some health issues, Don't know its serious condition or not, but I am much worried about my health.

Almost everyday (mostly after evening, travelling in bus, walking or even sitting on bed/chair).... I feel dizziness, Lightheadedness, shortness of breath, very confused and sleep feet..... this situation remains for 20-30 minutes. At this situation, I feel like I am going to die or something like that..... I drink plenty of water or drink like Sprite etc and then I feel little better.... I am much worried please help me what is this?

If anybody have these symptoms then please share your experience...

(I am not native English speaker.... sorry for not good English, I try my best to tell all things happening with me.)

Hi. sorry to hear about the way you are feeling. Have you seen a Dr about this. He/she will be able to do tests to help find the cause of your problems.  You should make an appointment to see your Dr soon.

Good luck.

Hi, I forgot to say you speak good english.

Thank you Merryl for your reply. Doctor told me tests ECG and ECHO. Results of both were normal. He told me that it's just allergy. But I don't think its allergy. Is there anything serious?

Anxiety gives you physical menifestations/problems. Feeling dizzy, sometimes related to breathing too fast. Heart beating fast makes you think you have a heatr condition. Tummy and bowels go into over drive making gurgling sounds. The pupils of your eyes dilate so you can see more  of what is going on around you. It is all caused by the hormone adrenalin. What is happening is the fight or flight responce to situations beyond your control, until you can identify them and work on them to solve them.

See my post in anxiety regarding Deep Muscle Relaxation. It is the only way you will be able to deal with the adrenalin rush you are getting and causing all of your symptoms. Best regards and good luck. Peter.

Hi raja

Try not yo worry to much at this point.

Could be a panic attack. If it happens again, try breathing in and out into a paper bag. This will slightly reduce your oxygen intake and hopefully help.

YOU MUST SEE YOUR DOCTOR JUST IN CASE IT IS SOMETHING ELSE.

Best of luck and let us know what happens, and try not to worry.

All the best

Kev

Thank you very much Peter for your detailed reply. I am feeling happy and relaxed after reading your comment I was thinking that it is a heart problem. Please let me know If I need any medical test?

Once my doctor told me for ECG and ECHO. Results of both were normal. Is there any test I need?

Thanks again Peter

Peace

Thank you Kev for reply... Once my doctor told me for ECG and ECHO. Results of both were normal. Is there any other test I need to confirm that its heart problem?

Hi raja

There is one test that might work, and I had this done. I can not remember what it is called, but basically they link you up to an ECG and askyou torun on a tread mill. This is to see if you have an heart problem that tends to only show itself when you are under considerable stress. Other than that, I can not think of anything else, sorry.

Best of luck

Kev

I agree with Peter.  You could be having a mild panic/anxiey attack which could cause "hyperventilation" which is just rapid breathing that feels like shortness of breath.  Your body could be letting down after a stressful day.  Try some mild exercises like yoga, deep breathing, etc.  With the dizziness you could be expiencing a bit of a blood sugar drop or low BP too which could bring on the anxiety which might explain why drinking the Sprite makes you feel a bit better.

Yeah I've been going through the same problems and I'm relieved I'm not the only one that's experiencing this someone please tell me what's happening?

I too feel the same.. while writing this I currently have this feeling, Shortage of breath like I feel there is less air to breath around me and need a fan or something to push the air to my nose so I can inhale all of it. My eyes are a heavy like the eyelids tend to close the eyeball and entire body is feeling lazy.. I feel like sleeping laying down somewhere. I would have drank at least 2L of water in the last one hour and still feeling thirsty.

Other than this I sweat excessively in the night mainly from my head. When I wake up in the morning, my pillow is completely wet and fear of darkness. To avoid sweating and fearr i keep the lights on and air condition at 16 C.

I went to the meeting room in my Office and set the temp to 16 and layed down for a while.. I feel better now.... The uncomfortability lasted for at least an hour. Why do I have this type of issues. please help

I am sorry to hear about this i have the same problem it is called vestibular hypofunction it's not fatal the vestibular nerve is in the inner ear and when it goes off course it can cause the symptoms you have look it up and checj the symptoms and e-mail me back please if thats what you have i can tell you the treatment.

If soda pop helps you, id guess its hypoglycemia.

If soda pop helps you, id guess its hypoglycemia.

I have the same exact thing , I went to the hospital and they said it was from anxiety , make sure to avoid sodas at night time if it causes you to have high blood pressure , I would see a doctor or just take deep breaths

Am facing same problem for 18 months now I just don't know why .

Am a sports man all my result are very good still i feel sick

I am going through the same issues ! This last week has been one of the worst weeks for me. I've been dealing with these issues for almost a year now and I'm not feeling any better. I've changed doctors and been in and out of the ER dozens of times this past year because I just feel so sick and certain that something is wrong me ! Have anyone of you had a break through yet ?? My symptoms due sound close to vestibular hypofuntion like one of the others were saying but both doctors are positive that is anxiety but we know our bodies better than anyone! Ik they're proffesionals but I just can't take it. I'm on my third medication for anxiety and it's making things worse at the moment ugh.

What exactly do you feel and how did it start ?
