I feel drunk and can't go anywhere as I fear I'm going to fall over
Hi carol I have the same problem ,do you get it at home ? Or just while you are out
Both I just can't shake it off
It didn't matter where I am it's with me 24/7 I feel sick all the time
Hi it is so debilitating ,you can't get on with normal day to day living. I am supposed to do balance tests every day but they also make me feel more dizzy grrrr.
the worst is washing up or shopping in a supermarket.
Been like this for over a week now trying to get in to see doctors dreading going back to work
Hope you have a good doctor who can help you. I could not go to work the way I am. Have you tried relaxation ,the more we worry about it and get uptight the worse it is. How are you when you are sitting down. I am fine it's only standing still :-(
I'm ok when sitting down it's when I try to stand it takes me a while as it feels like my head is spinningspinning
Hey,
I think what you are feeling might be Vestibular Neuritis. Check out this forum of others who feel just like you. (including me)
Thank u
It is difficult, I know from personal experience. try and get to see your GP - there are some exercises which are recommended, and a range of medications which may help depending on what the diagnosis is. There seems to be a few things with similar symptoms on the surface initially. I hope you find answers soon!
are u sure u got no inner ear problem? as this causes it
Hi Carol.
I know how you feel. You can read my post with all my symptoms under "dizzy and feeling like crap." Oh yes, I find shopping a real challenge. I walk like Charlie Chaplin and I'm sure people think I am intoxicated. I try to not go out in public as I am very unsteady on my feet.
Well at least you made me laugh I also walk like Charlie Chaplin x
I've been told I walk like I'm drunk. I've also had checkout operators in supermarkets give me some very odd looks (I'm a menace in the supermarket, it's so disorienting!).
I must walk about twice as far as I need to with the weaving about!
I have had this problem for a few years now and it hampers my life. I can't go for a walk and like you it's worse when I'm tired or stressed and when I'm in the supermarket. It becomes worse when I've walked for a little while and I have to use a spermarket trolley for support. Please let me know if you have found anything that helps, Thank you!
I feel exactly the same Carol but I see your comment was posted three years ago and am wondering if you have been able to get a diagnosis and/or treatment. I do hope you have as it is very debilitating. I am also tired all the time. Any advice from you would be much appreciated In any case I do hope you are feeling better now.
I feel exactly the same Amushka and it is great to see the humour in your message but I know what you are going through - it is very disconcerting and I am terrified I fall over. Have you been able to get a solution?
