hey guys, ive been feeling so tired over the last 2 weeks. To be fair, i havent been sleeping well and so my doctor prescribed trazodone 50mg. I take it every night and have been sleeping around 6-7 hours. My doctored did a thyroid test and that ce out normal. She doesnt think anything else needs to be checked? Do you guys think this tiredness and sleepiness is due to anxiety. I literally have no energy to do anything during the day. Please help!

Tiredness can most certainly be a symptom of anxiety and stress. I have experienced overwhelming tiredness with my anxiety. I’m assuming you have had your bloods checked if your doctor did a thyroid check? If not, I’d request one so that you can put your mind at ease.
Thank you for your reply. My doctor only wanted to test the thyroid and that came out normal. She didn’t think it was necessary to do the blood cell count and the entire metabolic panel. Last night, I decided not to try trazodone and I slept pretty well. Woke up with no headaches and with some energy. However, 5 hours from waking up, I have a headache and Im starting to feel tired. Idk what to do!!!

I’m on Citalopram. Trazodone will make you sleepy and it can give you many side effects including headache. There is a Trazodone forum on this site, I just took a look and someone on there is taking the same dose as you and complaining of headaches and other things. It may be worth taking a look there.
