Does anyone else have this internal shivery feeling? I am on quite a cocktail of drugs, including immunosuppressants and several for raised BP. The blood pressure was raised for a time, wouldn't go down to the usual level, so this drug was added to the mix. I have the swollen ankles etc., achy muscles, but this shivery feeling inside like being cold. Has anyone experienced this? I have been on the drug a couple of months and it has reduced the BP really well, so it does what it says on the packet, but as usual, with rottenn side effects.
Yes I have been feeling shivery - I call it 'cold to the bone' type of shiver! Only way I can feel warm is by having a hot bath - THe shivery feeling just comes on. Likewise, it has sorted my bp out but left me feeling 'not right' - shivery, aching joints, dry mouth, tiredness, dizzyness for starters. Not happy at all about being on it.

Thank heavens, someone who is experiencing the self same problems as me. I have to tell you, they are classed as UNCOMMON/RARE!!! Trust me.... and you by the sounds of it! I am on several other BP meds, plus statins, and two of the ones I have to take are ones that either (a) increase the risk of getting these side effects (Atenolol) or (b) increase the risk of getting the coldness. Apparently, according to a recent study (like this month) 0.38% of patients tested complained of the cold, chills, shiveriness... out of over 10,000 patients.
I have no option but to take them, increased BP puts my transplant at great risk and with it being over 25 years old, I am reluctant to let anything happen to it!
But thank you.... makes me feel slightly better.
