Some green leafy vegetables and tea can cause kidney stones. They contain calcium exfoliate.
Actually lemon and lime although are acidic they actual make your urine more alkaline. Google it.
I have MSK
My kidneys were formed different when I was born
They both don’t drain as wel and hold onto calcium and little stones/calcium salt form in the medullas part of the kidney
These drop into kidney which they grow and grow or pass on there own.
I’m in a lot of pain as I always have stones in bith kidneys
There is a lot of conditions out there with stones
You need to get 24 hr urine test to see what’s happening
Hi,
I am going thru a similar issue right now and I was curious what kind of doctor you sought out for help with hyperparathyroidism. I have been diagnosed with this condition already and also have bilateral renal stones. These are just two of many issues I have but because I have felt so sick and overwhelmingly tired lately; I went back and checked my labs and noticed my calcium level has been elevated. So, I am just stuck who to bring this problem to because my endocrinologist, feels that my tsh is normal level. Thanks for any help you can offer, Carol
Ive suffered with kidney stone issues for the last 4 years. i was misdiagnosed for months, including an abdominal surgery that i didnt need. first they said i had bleeding ulcers, then appendicitis, then Small Intestinal Bacterial overgrowth, ect---- always something gastric. i ended up in ICU after passing out while in hospital, but they still got it wrong. i lost over 80 pounds, was literally starving to death. my body started attacking itself. the day after christnas i ended up at Dartmouth hospital in New Hampshire. being an IVY league teaching hospital, i expected answers. I got none. a week after discharge, i ended up back at the local ER dehydrated again. the PA on duty found the kidney stone. i had surgery the next day & the pain & nausea went away in a day or so. unfortunately i had developed an undiagnosed autoimmune response because of the stress & trauma of it all. i got progressively worse & was diagnosed with Stevens-Johnsons Syndrome & place in burn unit of the ICU for 3 weeks & given artificial nutrition. i started pooling fluid in my legs & runnibg a fever. the dr in charge sent me home anyway & the next day i was rushed back, placed in ICU critical care in septic shock. i dont know how I didnt die. i spent 5 weeks in ICU, 2 weeks on step-down floor & then a month in rehab learning to walk again. i ended up needing both replaced due to damage from shock. I'm lucky i didnt lose my legs. the symptoms started again about 2 months ago. i have already lost 24 pounds. they located stones but because they arent "obstructing," they dont believe they ate causing a provlem. its like startibg all over. i have an appt for a 2nd opinion at another hospital in 2 weeks, if i live that long. The whole situation is horrible. for everyone saying to just change diet--- its not enough for everyone. causes vary & stone composition varies. stop being judgmental. i completely changed my diet & I'm back where I started
