Hi Ladies, Have had a bad couple of days. Needing some support. For two days, I have been walking around feeling like I'm having an out of body experience. I feel almost removed from my body-muscles are weak, I am nauseated, can barely concentrate, pressure in my head. And I feel like I'm impaired. It has happened to me before, and I get so down about it. And it comes on unexpectedly! I had just arrived at work, things went downhill within minutes, and I had to go home. I cried for a long time when I got home. This time of life is so hard. People who aren't going through it just don't get it. I just want to feel normal again, and not have to worry about these very alarming symptoms. I know acceptance is key, but some days, I just don't feel it.
Right there with you, Cindy! For a while there, I was vomitting from the dizziness, etc. Had diarrhea for weeks. Peri and menopause have been by far, worse than periods, puberty, and pregnancy! And I have severe endometriosis with fibroids, that made life miserable. Honestly, I’d take that hell back. At least I was thin and had decent hair. This middle aged new me crap is for the birds! Hope you feel better. If for no other reason than that you sre NOT alone.
Nancy x
I am sorry you are feeling like this. but im on my period and all day i have had this weird, dizzy like feeling… almost like i wanna crawl outta my skin. im sure its hormones but man this sucks .. just know you are not alone. what helps me is laying down and playing on my phone
Praying for you Cindy17746..I can understand what you are going through..you are not yourself going through menopause..no one would understand unless they are going through it…it is crazy what all you actually go through…![]()
It sounds like symptoms of a migraine. I get exactly what you’ve described when I’m having a migraine episode.
I being feeling close to the same ! I have weak feeling in my arms and legs all four! Like off balance feeling and weird feelings in the head and sleep is horrible!
thank you for posting this because i almost checked myself in emergency room last night becausenofnwhat you describedBut I also was having shortness of breath weak legs and just completely spaced out outer body thing. I have been three years post menopause and I’m done I’m meeting with a naturopath to get some BHRT …
Yes, I have felt like that drunk feeling.. Not with it at all which I felt weak because of that. I just go with it hoping that sleep and supplements help.
I need to see a different naturopath. Mine just dismisses the peri stuff. Thank you for responding. It’s less scary when other women know how you feel. xo
Thank you for responding. xoxo
It really is crazy. Nobody warned me! And no one I know is having the same symptoms, so it’s very isolating. xo
I have to remind myself all the time that it is just hormones. Some days, it’s enough; some days, it doesn’t matter what I tell myself, and I’m scared. Take care! xo
Thank you, Nancy! It helps. xo
ditto!
im ten years post meno and have recently experienced this..weird and frightening..think anxiety esculates it as well.when your not used to feeling a certain way.it is scarey..lucky in the fact i escaped most symptoms my periods just stopped at 42…said to my daughter it feels like an out of body experience..![]()
