So I was out gardening and bending over to get to the ground was hurting my back, so I got down on the ground. Feat number one. But best of all I got up alone,I was able to kneel on my August knee. Progress feels good.
A few thoughts...
As your quads, glutes and core get stronger, you will be able to get up easier and with more confidence. Having that strength back is also critical for feeling balanced again on uneven ground.
When you kneel on the knee, you may still feel some nerve tingling. Normal. Could last a long while, go away soon or be permanent...everyone's different. The worst thing to do is kneel on concrete, hardwood floors, tile, etc. I use a 3"-4" foam pad indoors and a set of padded SWAT tactical kneepads outside for gardening. Your choice...
Well done must feel good
Congratulations! I got one of those little gardening seats with wheels, but one of these days I hope to do what you did!
So, it’s been about 8 months since your pkr?
yes feels great now I'm not terrified of falling, still don't want to, but at least I can get up
