for a week now after eating a food that gives the me horrible reflux ive been taking zantac 150 and eating nothing but oatmeal and bananas also some veggies time to time & my stomach still rumbles, i get horrible indigestion, its to the point where i feel constantly uneasy, dizzy, i cant stop burping/passing gas,i feel like i cant even stand up for too long i feel like i need to sit down i just feel awful & also having general anxiety disorder & fatigue makes it worse. ive also been drinking ginger tea/green tea every now and again. how long will it take for me to recover from my symptoms ? i realized that anytime i eat something that doesnt agree with me (eg almond milk & bran flakes) i get bloated and feel awful then i start feeling worse after that. the only time i feel good is when im asleep this is overwhelming. ive been to the doctors couple times over a couple months they just prescribe me meds or just say theres nothing wrong with me. i had gerd since 2016. can anyone help me
- Have you been to a gastroenteroligist or just your regular doctor?
- I’ve been suffering from some stomach issues as well lately, and from what I’ve learned so far there really isn’t much of a cure for stomach problems lol -_- For almost any stomach issue (gastritis, ulcer, IBS, celiac disease) the fix is basically your diet. H. Pylori infection is the only one I can think of that actually requires meds to cure it. My gastro Dr perscribed me 40mg nexium to help with stomach pains I’ve been having, but ultimately they don’t help much. All that really helps is changing my diet. And I’ve also learned that being on a strict diet for my stomach for a few weeks isn’t enough, bc I did that… I ate really good and stayed away from spicy/fatty foods for like 4 weeks and felt better. But then as soon as I ate those foods again it all came back. So I think it definitely can take a long time to fix.
- My best advice is see a Gastroenteroligst (if you haven’t yet), and keep a food diary to see what foods bother your stomach. Also, just FYI - green tea used to give me acid reflux, it’s actually a pretty acidic tea… so you may want to avoid that. Ginger is good tho!
Take omeprazol it helps with gastroesophageal disease symptoms
Hi,
I also have terrible stomach pains, gas, burping, dizziness, uneasiness and severe anxiety. I had H.Pylori earlier in the year and took antibiotics to treat that which worked but within a few weeks after taking it, all the symptoms came back. I’m now on omeprazole and still feel horrible everyday.
I do watch what I eat but so far haven’t found much of a link between my food/drink and symptoms. I just don’t know what to do anymore and want to cry everyday. Hope we all feel better soon
