Feeling hot buzzing and very dizzy

Hi I have had AF for some time which is being treated,it has been confirmed that I have not had a heart attack and the heart does not have any scarring. However I'm now suffering from feeling very very hot, buzzing in both ears and dizy some times I do faint, but at other times it just goes black and I'm back again.I'm female age 70 does any one else suffer in the same way.

Check your blood for hyponatremia.

What do you mean by "black"?

sounds like either your pulse rate is dropping to low or your blood pressure falling, maybe you need to get it checked out, Is it worse when you stand from a sitting position, I think they call postural hypertension.

sorry something is wrong w this website, it keeps disappearing when i write. ill try one last time. see your doctor. could be a blood pressure drop, may need meds adjusted. thinking of you and hope u get better soon.

Hi Pauline,

I was having those awful "feelings" just before and after my last ablation.

The heat rises up from within the body, then everything goes dizzy and I feel faint and slightly nauseas

all at the same time.

Before I had the ablation I had several bouts of these and twice I actually passed out. I have a big worry about fainting because I have a new hip to protect.

After having the ablation, these bouts were coming thick and fast, at least every 10 seconds and the only way to cope was to lie down until I feel they had passed.

I think it is when the heart switches from arrhythmia to sinus rhythm and back again. Touch wood, I haven't had these for a few weeks now, although I did wake up with afib one morning last week and had one of these

bouts when the heart reset itself.

I would see your specialist if you are still having them and worried, they may suggest a holster test to see what is going on

All the best

Gwen xx

Hi Gwen

Many thanks for your reply I have had a holster test but only for 24 hours it now seems that I may need it for a longer period.

Hi Linda many thanks for your reply, yes there does seem to be a problem with my sitting and standing Bp,there is slight  disagreement with the Doctor's I'm seeing at the present, one suggest a Bp tablet every other day and the senior Dr suggest cutting the tablet in half and taking half a day,I do feel much better when I only take on every other day, hope to get this sorted some time this week, would appear that it dpends on which GP you see in the surgery.

are you on a beta locker for your AF like bisoporol as that not only slows your heart rate but can also affect your blood pressure, some time ago I was having problems with postural hypo/hypertension and couple of times went clean out when paramedics got here couldn't find my blood pressure.

My GP at the time was excellent and told me whenever getting up from lying or sitting position especially out of bed to sit on the side of the bed for several minutes before rising, and when it was bad to lie down and raise my feet and legs above my heart ie on pillows or something.

I hope you soon get someone to help you.

L.

Hi again Lindia again many thanks for your reply yes I do take bisoporol and will speak with the GP again on Thursday.

Kind regards

Pauline

I had mine for seven days. Every time i had an 'incident' I had to press a button on it and make a note of why I had.

When my wife had one she refused to press the button when she had an orgasm. I would have loved to know how her system reacted to it:-)
