So you had a check up with your doctor about this? That would be my first advice. I know exactly how you feel because I've had it on and off for years. What is happening is that when we become anxious our Brain sends out adrenaline the hormone to protect you because it thinks you were in danger. Adrenaline can cause rapid heart rate ,  what is he spaced out feeling etc. as well as other symptoms.

all anxiety starts in the brain so the key is to calm down the brain so that it doesn't release as much adrenaline. The worst thing to do is sit and think about it because that increases the anxiety and the adrenaline.

I needed to find a way to stay calm so I begin listening to meditations for anxiety, fear stress, negative thinking are found on YouTube. They completely calm down my mind and body in my symptoms either disappeared or greatly diminished. That  just shows you what anxiety can do!     Just search for guided meditation for anxiety. There are many to choose from and I do them a couple times a day and it makes a big difference! I listen carefully to what they are saying  and many of them show you how to separate the negative thinking from yourself which causes anxiety. Using earbuds has a better effect and I especially enjoy them when lying down to sleep.

something that's very important to learn is the proper breathing technique with anxiety. At the beginning of anxiety is very important to go directly to your breathing and focus on that because it keeps you in the present moment. There are videos on YouTube that teach you this also .  Just search for mindfulness breathing .

REMEMBER  that any symptoms related to anxiety cannot hurt you! Even the racing heart .  As long as you have been given the all clear by your doctor then it's time to work on the anxiety.

if you can pick up a book called Mindfulness,  it's a white cover book with a ball of string on the front. It teaches you all of this and how to regain you're a peace  of mind in the battle against anxiety.

I have also spoken with a counselor which really helps when you vent to someone else in person.

I like to stay active and socialize because it's a healthy thing to do for ourselves. Try not to take life too seriously and be good to yourself .

don't forget to smile and laugh!

but if you can get that book and do the meditations regularly I think it would help you a lot. Try not to react with anxiety when you get the symptoms. Remember they cannot hurt you and you are the one in control, don't let fear and anxiety control you.

slow deep breathing in through the nose for five seconds making sure your belly roses. Hold for two seconds and out through your mouth like you're blowing out a candle slowly. When breathing concentrate on the sound of the air coming in and going out and what it feels like. This is part of keeping you in the present moment

I do hope you feel better soon ❤️
