Been on sertraline 50mg now for 7 days and it making me more depressed. Could someone tell me is this normal and how long will it last. Thinking I can’t last much longer on these tablets
Hi Rob, still early days I'm afraid and it's typical that symptoms tend to take a dip in the early days of start up, give them a bit more time and you shoukd feel a difference within a few weeks. I think most people's advise is don't give up and give them a bit more time. Neil

Sadly it gets worse before it gets better,your brain reacts to the new chemistry. Hang in
The same thing happened to me. My anxiety was worse, I had headaches, felt like sleeping all the time, super depressed....
I'm now going on week 3 and finally starting to feel better.
Stick with it if you can, it does get better.
Thanks that was what I was hoping to hear someone feeling the benefits. But 3 weeks away seems so long away. wish me luck cheers
