Hi can anyone help I'm on 100mg setraline and started with a anxiety attack boxing day normal symptoms dry mouth clammy bad tummy burning that has kinda slowed down but the feeling of fear in my tummy when I wake up is terrible has anybody else experienced it thank you
I’m exactly the same at the moment. Been on sertraline for almost a year and been great since March. Then boom before xmas I have morning bad belly, I feel it creep up on me wen I wake up. Burning feelings, achy and restless. Really frustrated it’s come back x
I too find mornings the worst. For me it's a vicious circle of I feel anxious a bit my tummy plays up and hurts which increases the anxiety and so on. It's awful. I feel for you both x
Hi Nicola, how long have you been on sertraline 100mg? I just increased mine to 50mg and didn't sleep good and feel nauseous. I was on sertraline in the past and it worked great only at 25mg. This time is much different and I just want to feel better.
Fear in the tummy when wakening is very common with anxiety and depression. When that happens to me I just put on my ear buds and listen to something meditative close my eyes do some deep breathing and the problem is gone. Not gone permanently but for the moment. The same process needs to be done everyday. But slowly. Ever so slowly the tummy fear begins to go away altogether.
I've been on setraline on and off for 3yrs alissa went back on them in Feb on 50mg then upped to 100mg about a month ago felt back to normal after 2weeks then boxing day bang back to square 1 so I've just done alot of research and I'm starting hypnotherapy I've booked 4 sessions so fingers crossed
It's awful isn't it Karen I hate how it can just start then that's it I think about it 24/7 which is awful
