hi Is it normal to feel physically horrible as well mentally horrible in the early stages of taking citalopram? My psychiatrist has got me taking lorazepam more regularly which is helping but if I don’t take it I just feel horrible. Physically anxious, bit fluey, achy, headachy, just physically yuck. Assume these are side effects of the meds. Should this still be going on after 5 weeks (3 weeks today on 20mg)?
be careful with the benzo as you can become addicted x
Hi Tamsino/Citrolopram can take up to 10/12 weeks before you start to lose the side effects.Your anxious levels will go up and down.
yes is quite normal i felt like that for nearly 8 months.
thanks Toria i am well aware of the issues but i an doing this under close supervision of my psychiatrist
i took my benzo until i was fully recover .you will know when to stop the benzo.celexa for sure will let you know when to stop the benzo it did for me.best regards
thanks lois thats reassuring. unfortunately for me the lorazepam doesnt make me calm and chilled it just takes the edge of the anxiety so i can function a bit better - wish it did though
thats exactly right.that is how its suppose to work .feeling calm n chilled only happens on high doses .and thats when addiction starts.best regards
so did it just take the edge off for you too? did you feel depressed too and find it hard to stay positive?
