Visited Rheumatologist today for checkup CRP down to 4 on 12.5 mg for 4 days and acheived that reading! He wants me to drop to 10mg after a month!!! At least it's not rising!!!! Feeling ok!!!
That's good news - you must be feeling so relieved!
I wonder though if a 1mg at a time drop might be easier - 1mg every 2 weeks is still 2mg per month and easier on the body. We were discussing this at the informal Scotland/Italy group meeting this afternoon and agreed that most of the problems really do appear to stem from an undue haste on the part of doctors to reduce the dose!
Scotland/Italy group - Interesting! Are there so many Scots near you?
Hello Eileen,, I thought it's a big jump from 12.5 mg to 10 mg !! Do you know if they make a 1mg tablet Eileen?? Thank you Andrea xx
This week yes - a group from Dundee are up the valley on a botanical walking holiday. One of them is a big cheese in the Scottish PMRGCA charity - and her husband and mine used to work together. So we went up to meet her for lunch, her husband is gone fishing though, but another member of the group also worked with David. A good time was had by all
1mg plain white tablets are available In the UK. Are you on plain white pred tablets or enteric coated ones which are red 5mg and brown 2.5mg? They must not be cut and don't come in a 1mg dose. You can use the "Dead slow and nearly stop" technique though - in the replies section here
