I have a ct scan tomorrow to see why I have had a bad headache for 9 months and 18 days tomorrow I am really scard on what they might find or not find. My husband is been very supportif but it don't stop me worrying about it. I have read up on fibro and head ache do go hand in hand but if it is the fibro how much longer is it going to go on for I am now feeling very stressed about this ct scan I have had MRI scans on my spin but this is to do with my brain feeling really low
first of all stop stressing please dont shout back at me hun i know its not easy
but if you stress with, what ifs. your keep increasing your headaches and other pain
because partly fibro is in the head in the part of the brain called the prehistoric where the gland that deals with the fligth or fright symptoms to protect us when in danger.
what you are doing by stressing is to make this gland over perduce the chemicals like adranline that you need to run away from danger ,these chemicals are not really needed so you end up with headaches and other pains .
look into brain retraining programmes theres quite a few out there find what suits you if any and give it ago .
i am trying one its not easy i wont lie but it does have a high success rate of recovery .so for me its worth a try .
headaches ,i b s. diffitculty swollowing, itchy skin, unexplained rashes, fatigue. joint pain. bladder sensistivity ,and more are all symptoms.
and if you think about it there are all also related to stress . and the chemicals we produce when we make our self so .
what you could do to start of in a small way , and see how you improve is try buying a relaxtion cd do it twice aday to start then when you see an improvemnt reduce it to once a day .this helped me loads with i b s symptoms .
Hello Shirley,
So sorry to hear you are feeling this way, but absolutely understandable! How have you put up with headache for so long, so admire you. Lots of people seem to suffer this with Fibro, so I suspect that's what it is. If it's anything more sinister, at least they are going to find that out now, sooner rather than later. Just to say, if you are thinking of brain tumour, my Mum had that and did not experience headaches, so that is not a given. Good luck, please let us know how you got on.
Take care, Anne
I was under a neurologist for 2 years trying to figure out why I had a headache every day it is really scary! I feel for you.. They put mine down to a chronic migraine but I felt like they were just fobbing me off cos they didn't know what else to say! I finally begged to see a rhomatoligist and he was amazing, first doctor to look at me as a whole not just my head or my back! If you feel it is fibromyalga definitely get referred to a rhomatoligist! Good luck with your scan
