Feeling sick helpppp

Hey guys so I'm really really worried. I'm 19 and about 8 weeks ago I had really bad anxiety and it's still here and about 5 weeks ago I started sertraline, and when I first started taking sertraline feeling sick was one of the side effects I had it was never bad or really noticeable and now about 5 weeks in, for the past two days Ive felt sick, like not all the time, mainly when I stand up, ill explain what happens, my hands will go extremly sweaty, I'll start to feel really hot, and then ill start to feel like this sick sensation in my stomach but I won't actually throw up and my vision goes weird, I then just burst into tears and this has happened to me twice now, yesterday and today. I'm really worried because I'm obsessed with the though I have a brain tumour or something is terribly wrong with me and I'm terrified 24/7 please help

it could possibly be there you may need a medication adjustment or a different medication. It’s also possible that your anxiety has kicked in with symptoms. or a combination of both. The best thing to do would be to contact your doctor to discuss your symptoms and the medication. Sometimes people have to try several different medications until they find the right one .
have you read about the possible side effects of your medication? Just does not sound like a brain tumor at all. Talking to your doctor can straighten out a lot. Take care of yourself

it is also possible that you may have picked up a virus or flu. So check in with your doctor.

im going through the obsession of a brain tumor myself at the minute but i suffer from health anxiety and when i stand up too i get exactly the same as you

sertraline can be one of the bests meds for anxiety if your body agrees with it. for some people( not everyone) the side effects can be notorious. it doesnt last forever though.
i very much doubt you have a brain tumor at all.
my side effects were

nausea ( mild)
sleepiness
heightened anxiety
sensitivity( emotional at times)
imcreased appetite
shakiness
sweating ( hands and feet)
dizziness
mild headaches( pain relief worked)

it didnt last forever and i pushed through it. i to am a health anxiety sufferer and i know how you feel. i was 19 when mine started aswell.
you might have a virus. if not go back to the doc and see if theres anything he could do( med change or something to help with side effects).

Thanks Jan, it’s so stressful x

Do you also feel sick but never actually sick enough to throw up its just kind of a feeling deep in your stomach? Also do you find your eyes to be sensitive to light a bit? And frequent headaches?

It’s a real pain isn’t it, I’m so continously worrying that there must be something life threatening wrong and it makes me so upset x

I had GERD which I misunderstood for a heart attack . had ecgs and all report camed normal I think we have health aniexty and my GERD symptoms were terrified like you have mentioned above like you have brain tumour . let me ask you something do you google your symptoms daily if you then stop
