I got lthr anterior approach 2 weeks ago o o had a walker when I came home until the physical therapist was there yesterday and said you don't need a walker. I went to my dr today he says I don't even need a cane I have no limitations just to do my exercises at home and my hip feels great. It's just amazing! I only had two physical therapy sessions and I need no more! Feeling so grateful❤️
That's wonderful! Well done you. I was using a cane outside for about a week but found after that that it was slowing me down! I'm 5 weeks post op this Friday and the only real after effect is tiredness.
Hope your recovery continues well.
Please do your exercises 🙏🏻, so very very important. And if you have any problems at all see a physiotherapist straight away xxxx I hope you remain well and active xx well done xx
That's awesome! 🎉🎊. Enjoy life!! 🤓
That sounds absolutely great for you. I'm jealous. Like you, my hip has been an enormous success but I still need crutches outside and a cane inside due to a rubbish ankle. I hope it keeps going so well for you.
Oh yes I will 3 times a day doing a lot of walking too Thanks Bobbie😊
Thanks Jenny! All the best to you😊
Thanks Linda! Hope you are doing well😊
Thanks Beth I hope your ankle gets better😊
That's great. Enjoy life
Madla😊
I'm so happy to hear that you are doing so well!
Did you have Anterior or Posterior surgery?
praise our precious Lord...good for you...did your physician mention any restrictions to minimize the hip dislocating during the healing process? Very happy for you.
hi mary, wow ... well done ... anterior apporach has many advantages - My surgeon was not really trained in this approach, so I had 2 THR surgeries posterior approach --- to be honest , I didn't know about anterior approach at that time ... I am so happy for you - thank you for sharing, darling and come back any time - big warm hugrenee
Hi Diane, I had anterior approach. It's amazing!
Yes praise the Lord. I am so grateful! There really are no restrictions except not to move the operated leg all the way back. I can really do anything now and I think once my incision is healed it will be even better. I hope you are doing well!😊😊
Thank you Renee I just can't believe it's done. I was in such pain and so afraid of surgery I am forever grateful! I hope you are dong well. Big warm hug right back❤️
Thank you Candace! I hope you are doing well😊
That's great news.Well done.But please don't over do things.Remember you've had a major op.Regards Amandah
not moving the leg all the back is to prevent it dislocating...do not sit and bend all the way forward either...only a risk until all of the muscles and tendons heal...
