I don't know how anyone copes with this fibromyalgia is a nightmare I struggle everyday to get out of bed I'm in constant pain and I have a toddler to care for I have no energy to do housework or make meals all I want to do is go to bed and sleep constant migraines are driving me crazy I'm really hoping the sytoms will ease over time how do overs on here cope and does anyone know what help I can get of the DWP thanks

Hi Miss. Naomi,

I feel your pain. Especially with a small child. I can't imagine dealing with fibromyalgia and a baby. It's horrible dealing with this nonsense. I've had Fibromyalgia for 16 years now and my first 2 years I didn't get out of the bed. I mean I literally didn't get out of the bed. I thank god for my husband. I would be at a weight of 50lbs. I can barely cook for myself. Here lately I haven't been able to get out of the bed until early afternoon. It's been really rough. I will surely keep you in prayer. What is dwf?

Hey Hun

I feel your pain I have a one year old and 16 and 12 I also work full time! I'm currently on pregabalin and amitriptolin and zapain and tramadol but trying to get of pregabalin. This all takes the edge of the pain but still get horrible hand and leg pain . You can apply for pip I have my assessment on Thursday this week !

Hope this helps

Hi miss naomi02913 My heart goes out to you and others who have young children and have fibro. I know how hard it is to cope and live with fibro and just how ddelibertating it is. Symptoms will ease try not to stress worry as it doesnt help our condition it just makes it worse. paceing is importing as push your self fibro pushes back harder.you can claim pip some people claim esa your local cab can advise where benefits are concerned and help with form filling. do you have family members that could help to look after your toddler also if where you live has a fibro support group.Take care

Hi sadie1980 good luck with your assessment on thursday hope it goes well for you. let us know how it goes. take care

Please let us know how your assessment goes I really hope it goes well x

Hi kaz I don't have any help with my little one although I do have a nice health visitor she has helped me get my son into a play group one morning a week which has took some stress off me as I was feeling guilty that he always in the house with me I'm just trying to stay positive atm but it's not easy when I feel so bad everyday x

Thats good your son goes to play group 1 day a week, at least it gives you chance to rest. its not easy being positive all the time Ive had a bad 2 weeks with fibro both pain wise and low mood.try not to feel guilty where your son is concerned none of this is your fault. none of us asked to have this condition nor do we want it. symptoms come go fibro is like a roller coaster you can some times go into remisiion with fibro where you can experience no pain and symptoms free. but it depends on how fibro affects you. we are all different fibro ranges from mild to severe. My advice is just go with the flow take each day as it comes, dont focus on fibro distract your mind with something else. whether its  watching tv listening to music reading a book, you also have your son to distract you. being kind to ourselves and treating ourselves now again can help to lift our mood. aids to help you bath board walking stick walking frame high stool for kitchen. some areas have a fibro support group where you meet up once a week have a chat go for a meal out or day trips. Drs can refer you to a pain clinic cbt therapy, some areas offer free acupuncture for 12 weeks hydrotherapy for so many weeks. its seeing whats on offer for you where you live. drs normally try you on all different meds to try find what suits you and what doesnt. fibro is very much trial error and a learning curve for us all. you also have the forum for support advice so never feel your a lone. the only people that know what its like to have fibro is those that have it. family friends just dont understand. your local cab can offer advice help on financial matters.   take care sending you a big hug x

I will Hun x

Hi I have fibromyalgia and I have a lot of the same symptoms that you guys are going through. And I mostly stay in the bed all day and sleep. I'm very very weak and sluggish. I can barely use my hands and fingers and cannot walk very good as I cannot support my weight on my legs. So my question is does anyone else have some of these symptoms like me. Also what is DWF and what is pip. Thank you for listening God Bless to all. Huggs and prayers. :-)

Sadie, if you happen to be exhibiting spasms in your legs, and not just pain...I have severe muscle spasms that at times have made me fall, and I have a hard time walking. At the ER one day the DR prescribed me Baclofen, which is an antiinflammatories/ relaxer and let me tell you this has been a Godsend for me, as I am able to walk better, although some of the pain still exists... With no sleepiness, or real side effects that other relaxers seem to come with. Just a thought, and good luck, hope you feel better!

Hi Hun yeh I get terrible muscle spasms but I can't take inflammatory meds as I have asthma boo ! Got my assessment tomorrow morning getting nervous now !

Sadie x

Thinking of you today sadie with your assessment good luck hun hope it goes well for you.x

Thanks Hun it all went really really well the lady was lovely ex paramedic she was at mine for 2 hours ! She said everything I had said in my written questionare coresponded with my assessment today ! Thank goodness I was having a bad day with the pain in hips etc so couldn't do all the movement she asked for but we will just have to wait and see !

Hi sadie so pleased it went well for you, cant believe she was their 2hrs blimey mine took an hour. sorry to hear your in pain with your hips hope the pain soon eases. fingers crossed for you that you will get pip. you can relax now hun its all over. Enjoy the rest of your day take care

Thanks kaz can't believe it's done I was really worried about it and it was fine so she thinks within the next two weeks so hope I get it

I'm sorry, I miss wrote that... You can't take anti inflammatory meds with it as it absorbs the Baclofen, hence making it less effective... Consult your Dr about this medicine, as it is a miracle with the spasms.. Google the results and additives in Baclofen..

Ive got my fingers crossed for you that you will get it. Im so pleased for you that it went really well for you and she was nice that did the assessment. Hope you have a lovely bank holiday weekend and fibro is kind to you and not cause you too much pain. take care hun xx

You to Hun xx I will keep you updated and thank you for all your support
