Feeling so low

I just need to write this down as I am feeling really low at the moment.

When does it all get better? I am into my 3rd year now and absolutely sick of the symptoms. I feel like I could cry every time I have a hot flush, I am so sick of them. I rarely sleep more than 3 hours so I am constantly tired and have so many stupid aches and pains.

I have recently been diagnosed with Dysthymia and been off work with anxiety since August.I hate feeling like this and just want it all to go away.

Everything makes me cry and I am struggling to handle my feelings at the moment.

Thanks for reading, I know so many of you feel the same way xx

Dont worry theres lots of us like you i am the same i struggle to go to work every day as im so tired but i have no choice,as for your hot flushes please try taking sage i have 1 capsule a day and i dont get the flushes at all i swear by them, ive been like this for five years but my periods are coming every 2 weeks now so hopefully it wont be long before this debilitating time of life ends xx

I buy viridian organic herbal female complex they are £8 for a months supply and they really work xx

thank you for caring enough to reply Debbie. I have bought some Viridian, already taking sage. Thankfully my periods stopped last Christmas xx

You are not alone. I've got M.E. so feel constantly shattered all the time anyway with sore joints and muscles. I'm really struggling with the menopause symptoms on top of my M.E. ones. Am really struggling to function a lot of the time. One thing you could try for low mood (which I do for my M.E.) is keep a positive thoughts diary. At the end of the day try and write down anything positive about your day. Even something simple like it was a nice sunny day, you laughed at a TV programme, you ate a nice cake, had a nice day out, etc. Anything at all that gives you pleasure. I do yoga and guided meditation CDs for my M.E. which I feel is also helping with the menopause. Hopefully it will get easier through time. People who have gone through it and come out the other side seem to say you feel back to normal eventually so don't give up hope!!

Oh thats a shame the veridian didnt work for you,it just shows we are not all the same,i hope you find relief somehow x

Janehj,

Has your Dr put you on any medicine?

Thank you Elaine,I feel bad for moaning as I have it easy compared to some. ME is a horrible thing . Take care xx

I've ordered the Veridian, not tried before but I already take sage. Fingers crossed I get some relief xx

I am on an anti-depressant but she is against any sort of HRT

Hello there . I'm Jane as well and you sound just like me . I am 49 and due on anytime . My current symptom is constant nausea and acidy stomach . The more I think about it the worse it gets . I just feel like crying over it as it's taking over my life sand I don't want to keep feeling like this . I seem to live on polo mints as they are like my comfort blanket . I worry that I have stomach cancer or some other disease . I seem to have had every other symptom going over the past year and a half

Can you take magnesium?  Its really helpful.  Get into olive oil and flax seed oil for fish oil.  Calmax.  Get rid of stimulants.  Eat spinich salads.  Eat more salmon.

And exercise!!!!  Exercise will help to elevate your moods.

Has all of that helped you?

Absolutely!!!

Yes we all are struggling. some good days and some bad ones. It is hard with both physical and mental issues related to it. Never prepared for this worse thing in life. Try HRT as AD did not work for me.

I think many here feel just as you do. Sad but true. Seems ridiculous that all of this can bring us to extremes!! Just when I think I'm getting a handle on the acceptance of these crazy changing hormones ... BAM.... I hit a low again 😔

Sooo frustrating! Like you my doc gives me AD for anxiety and against HRT as well unless absolutely necessary . I just recently mustered up the courage to try therapy again.

My dr is against hrt's also. They keep prescribing anti depressants but with my anxiety issues I don't take them.

I have now been sent to a spine dr. They are doing xray and nerve tests on my back, shoulders, and neck.

I'm soooo done.

Can't sleep at night because of my lower back pain so they give me flexeril to take at night.

Guess who's not taking them.

So glad I have you guys to talk to. Oh yea, and the girls at work keep turning the heat up...
