Feeling stuck, Anxiety gets worse at night

Hi! Does anyone else get anxious and feeling of being stuck? It gets worse at night. For some reason nighttime triggers my anxiety. It makes me worry about my health more and also makes me feel like I’m stuck and anxious. Does anyone else feel more anxious and have more anxiety at night? What do you do to make nighttime less stressful?

Hi

Yes this is very normal and I have been in your shoes more times than I like to admit. I believe it's because we are settled in and have more time to think. We start to analyze every part of our body and then think the worst. I have a caught which doesn't bother me all day cause I'm busy then it's night time I lay down and every bad thought about a cough goes through my head. We need to relax read and get our minds off the bad. Remind ourselves we are healthy and all is you g to be fine. Hope you start feeling better.

Yeah this is what I’m going through right now ! It’s night so I’m looking for what hurts and I think oh maybe my chest hurts so on and so forth. Thank you for your reply (: I hope you feel better as well. We can get through this(:

Hello. I live in supported housing and have done for a while and feel anxious at night because of noise. Also having only a small room. When I open the window it is cold and then there is more noise and traffic fumes. I moved the plants out for more room and there isn't any place to put things. It's bad as supported housing is supposed to curb stress but it caused more.

I’m so sorry to hear this): I hope it gets better for you . Sending you love and hope

Thank you for the positive reply because when I've suggested to the housing association about better housing they say that the housing in other areas is also suffering and would make things worse and that it is even worse for single women in bad housing. I felt very angry because also they've let drugs, vandalism and domestic violence go on in the building. Also racial discrimination. It's been going on for years and I refused to work with the worker until it stopped. I pushed them to provide a new kitchen and do repairs and make sure I get as much as I can out of them before I leave.

I’m glad you pushed them for that!!! You deserve to live somewhere safe and what you call home.  I live away from home because I’m in college and I miss it so much sometimes. Do you have to stay there much longer ??

I don't have to stay in supported housing. There is no time limit as to when you move out. It is for any age over 16 until being an old age pensioner. It is similar to Student Halls of residence. They do the odd nice event for people to keep them there so that they don't lose profit basically and they try to deter people from moving on by saying that other places are worse. They advertise well and con vulnerable people like myself. I am wise to this now but finding new housing is difficult especially when the support has helped me with nothing. I'm searching for new housing in a better area to avoid the same situation like this again.
