so ive been convinced for a couple of months i have ms,docs have diagnosed chronic health anxiety, sometimes i nearly accept thats what it is,ive had lots of help and advice from all you kind people on here, even after a good nights sleep last night for the first time in ages! my symptoms when i got up this morning are so bad,how come when i feel like im calmer the symptoms never ever ease even slightly?my symltoms are numb/tingly face (feel like its frozen in place)tingly feet and tingly left hand help?
You can't feel better about the symptoms of the health anxiety until you deal with root anxiety. The health anxiety is just a symptom remember, its pointless trying to deal with it directly. Always would recommend therapy for health anxiety issues
yes im waiting for therapy appointment,so even when im calmer its ok to still have such intense symptoms?my hand and face are really freaking me out today !
The thing to remember is that adrenaline effects don't stop when your mood improves, not right away, and hyper vigilance becomes a habit. Just have to learn to not react to these sensations and over time these things stop becoming so troublesome
thanks for your help-sorry if i sound thick lol, think im expecting too much too soon maybe,on third day of prozac now so hopefully will pick up soon
just when my hand begins to settle a little(,face is still the same tho) i start to feel a numb tingly feeling in my neck, this is a new one on me today,is this normal?
There really is no normal with health anxiety other than a constant need to check and feel reassured. Sadly any and every symptom of every possible issue can appear, none of it means anything at all. It's just how it is,when the general anxiety is under control these things will fade
thanku
Tingly numb face is from anxiety. At least that is what I was told by my therapist. I was feeling symptoms like yours. I sit at a desk for 8 hours a day. My doctor told me to get up and walk around the block if I can to get the blood flowing. Do you too sit at a desk? As for the left hand. Are you left handed? I find my right hand getting tingly after being on the computer for extended periods of time. I am right handed. It may be related to carpel tunnel.
hi thanks for reply, yeah so many people have told me its anxiety but its soo intense! im right handed and its my left hand thats affected,i dont work i run around after 5 little kids all day lol, suffering badly today, the symptoms are constant anyway but today is worse, cheeks feel throbby too x
How u deal with it
I am having trouble sleeping
The symptoms sometimes take time to calm down. Just realize the actual adrenaline rushes and muscle tensing have occured and if they recycle do a take a temporary effect on the body. It will all calm down. Its nothing dangerous. Its like if you banged your arm. Even though you stopped banging it it will hurt for a bit. Keep thinking positive and try very hard to deter your thoughts away from it. Let it be and put on music or do an activity. It will calm in its own. Do not feed into the symptoms because you will retrigger another rush and it will keep going.
it always just keeps going, its from the min i wake up til i go to sleep constant tingling/numbness,its so hard not to be scared x
me too ,its terrible x
