Feels like blob in throat

Does anyone else get this feeling of a blob of something in throat and a tightness in the neck?

Dear Sharon

I have tight muscles in the neck - some days worse than others. I also from time to time feel the blob in my throat and periods of feeling a lump when I swallow.
Both is due to anxiety. There is no lump but if I worry about it I can suddenly feel it.

its just awful isnt it, i think i have post nasal drip my throat is red too x

Yes I had this symptom for weeks at age 49 when most of my symptoms started. A few women replied to me and said it is called globus sensation and can be related to silent reflux or GERD etc. I had never experienced it before - it came on with a ton of other symptoms.
