feels like im been slapped with nettles, any ideas?

hi, i have fibromyalgia, at the end of every summer, when i start to light fires again, i get a burning in my arms, it feels like i am being slapped with nettles up and down my arms, this usually lasts for 6 to 8 weeks, the pain is unbelievable, i have tried moisturisers and even after sun, it only cools it down for a few minutes.

does anybody else suffer from this and does anyone have any suggestions on what to do. thanks

I know that being IN the sun aggrivates the condition...and especially if you are on medication that interacts with the sun.

My mother when she was diagnosed was told to avoid the sun

Hi deorah00389 I get  it in my legs and arms, I have used after care sun also baby lotion, also cold compress. I know some ladies have used aloe vera. Mine lasted for about 3 weeks then went.

thanks guys, as bad as it sounds its a relief to know other fibro sufferers get this also, i was worried it may be something else, im not on medication missy, i dont find anything that the doctor gave me any good, i try to manage the pain as much as i can for now by myself, but i do think it has something to do with the sun, i have tried every kind of lotion and cream and nothing works, i have to say as bad as what i call the normal fibro pain is, this burning is unbearable.

Hi debroah00389 I too manage the pain my self as best I can, but I have found the burning like you to be unbearable it drove me mad. I was so relieved and glad when it went away.take care

tanks kaz, was hoping there was some magic cure that i was missing, looks like i'll just have to ride it out, ha
