I'm just back from the most amazing pedicure ever. I walked from my house to the salon, about 3km with one stick.

I then had a full pedicure with shellac nails from the most gentle beautician. My feet now feel amazing especially after my long walk.

That's me now hooked and booked for 5 weeks time 😊

I'm now 4 weeks post op and feeling fine although seem to have developed a niggle pain in my operated leg knee 😕

God morning Susan! What a nice way to be good to yourself! I did the same and it made me feel so great to have my feet massaged. Keep on keeping on!

Your pain sounds pretty normal considering you have walked so far and your only 4 weeks post, I'm told today by physio, if you do exercises or walk and you get pain, so long as its not excruciating and with rest goes off in under 2 hours its fine.

Wow Susan that sure is amazing, both in terms of the feet treat and the distance you walked to get there! I'm very impressed as a relative newbie of just 1 week post op. It really gives me  something to aim for to be remotely as active as you, so thanks for that. Already dropping hints to family for a pedicure  voucher for Christmas.

how soon did you walk outside the house? Only been home 3 days so not ventured outside at all yet?

Hi Margaret

I was home two days before I ventured outside. Just started out by walking 100yds and then build it up gradually. I did that a couple of times a day just to get fresh air. Every time I came out a neighbour would come out their house and ask what was up. By the time I finished chatting I didn't have time to do any more lol

Thanks Renee , yes knee and ankle a bit achy so I'll take it easy tomorrow. I'm finding setting myself little goals is helping to get me going otherwise I would just sit about all day watching daytime TV!

Thanks for the reply Susan. Im at fhe daytime tv stage but rapidly getting bored so need to make tomorrow my 1st day out, with my husband too of course. Fingers crossed it feels good!

Lol I got a woman to the house last week too Susan . Was going to go for shellac but decided to stay simple and had a lovely pedicure and varnish ... Feet look great and felt very neglected as I could not bend down . Totally recommend it !
