What do you guys find works? I just can’t seem to get enough and I’m on my fourth thrombosed external. I always, like 90% of people, go right back to bad habits when they shrink after days of utter misery and pain.
I wish there was a pill wth 30 grams a day....
Miralax and a stool softener in the morning and at bed time once a day. I had surgery for external hems back in March and that's what they gave me to keep me regular. I still take it every day.
Stool softener at noon and bedtime. Psyllium husk powder mixed in glass of water 3 x day. Drink lots of water. Eat lots of fiber in veggies and fruit. When things get regular, reduce stool softener to 1 x day. Keep up psyllium fiber till you feel you can reduce it too. Don’t reduce water or fiber from diet.
What was the reason for the surgery? Didn’t want to wait for the thrombosis to go away, or it literally never did? This is my biggest one yet so I’m a little more anxious then usual.
Thanks...I certainly know about water and fruits etc. problem is I drink Diet Coke 24/7 and my diet sucks. I haven’t found the will to fix it
have the surgry ok it,s not bad . so they can cut them out and wont have too worry no more. eatting alot of fruites drinking alot of water, stay away from pops pizza and alot of cheeses that helps and walking as well.
I had surgery for the pain. I also had a fissure. Was in bad pain. Surgery was a blessing. No more pain.
Buy fiber one cereal. 1/2 cup gives you 14 g of fiber. I eat that every morning for breakfast. I also by the light progressive soups and have one cup quite often for lunch. It has 4 g of fiber in it. Also, after eating my fiber one in the morning, I have 1/4 cup of prunes and lots of water. Drinking water and watching your fiber intake is a must. If you like Triscuits, six crackers for a snack in the afternoon is 3 g of fiber, I believe. Good luck!
Fiber gummies are a convenient way to bump up fiber intake.
