Fibro Medication

Hi.

New to the forum so Hi.

Wondering how people deal with their pain but mainly stiffness.

Either by medication or other means.

I take ametriptaline 40mg at night and pregabalin 50mg three times a day.

The pregabalin is new, about 3 weeks now and although helping not with the stiffness.

Would love to hear from any of you

Thanks

Hi shippey welcome to the forum. I am allegic to opoids so unable to take tablets for pain relief. I use wheat bags and hot water bottles warm baths.I have stiffness in hands and legs I personally havnt found anything that works where stiffness is concerned. It does normaly go off after a few hours with me.I do go stiff in my legs if I sit too long, so then have to get up and walk around. Take care

Hi Shippey,

Welcome to a wonderful forum where you will get help and advice or just shoulder to lean on when needed.

I was diagnosed in May and suffer with stiffness in my ankles all day and pain all over but in particular the left side of my body

I am taking 75mg Lyrica twice a day, 20mg Amitryptaline at night (was 40mg but now weaning off these due to starting the Lyrica) Naproxen and co-codamol. Nothing seems to work and although the pain is more bearable (than it was before diagnosis) it is always there sad

Hi Shippy and welcome.

Sorry your in the club that nobody wants to join, that said you'll learn a lot and there's really good support.

Im on a host of medications, too many to list, but not all for fibro. I too am on   Pregabalin and ametriptalin and they do help for pain. The stiffness is more difficult to manage. For me gentle movements help and anything warm, such as wheatbags or warm water if you can get in a bath.

Live also had hydrotherapy and I'm currently having acupuncture. I think really it's a case of trying anything you can and hopefully something will work for you.

Good luck, take care Lisa
