Does fibro get to any stage where it gets any better?
I believe that for me, I will either stay the same or eventually get worse. But I also have RA, Diabetes and Valley fever. So when one autoimmune calms down, the other one kicks up. I don’t get much of a break.
I suffered with neck and shoulder pain for the past 16 year then 4 year ago I ended up in bed for 5 weeks unable to move the pain was terrible my wrists ,elbows holding my phone felt like I was holding a house brick my hips and knees even now walking up stairs my hips get tighter and tighter I feel like I've been in the gym for hours I was put on amptryptyline and naproxen , then recently I started to get pain in my hands and the pain in my chest and ribs as started its unbearable I'm now on gabapentin I've gave up one part time job I still do my morning one but for how much longer I don't know I'm 40 just turned and it's embarrassing people look at you and think there's nothing wrong , my body feels older than Iam x
I have just recently had an appointment with a rheumatologist to see if I had RA, which it turns our I don't have. He gave me amitriptyline which I didn't like as I didn't sleep for 2 weeks. He told me to raise my heart rate and get sweaty, so I have joined the gym again. It really helped last time and I had no more pains in my hips. I'm not going back to the doctor and going to do it on my own.
I found the amptryptyline works as I was unable to sleep due to body pain so it relaxes my muscles as for the gym I tried exercise but found I hurt more I tried coming off all tablets and just getting on with it but it made it worse I also take charcoal tablets and bromelaine and papaya extracts to help with my IBS
