Fibroids and weight

Hello ladies ..when I miscarried I was told to get a hysterectomy. .I researched and found Ufe..now Thursday I go for my Dr consultation as I looked at the video band read the pamphlet. .I was wondering if your weight has any bearing on recovery ?..and will it really lessen my frequent urination. I go anywhere from 10-12 times a night and about 5 during the day..and period flow I have to west 2 overnight pads and a super tampon

Hello,

Everyone has different experiences but it worked well for me. I lost ten pounds, I don't get up in the night to urinate anymore, pressure symptoms gone and I have gone from 4 pads every 1-2 hours to wearing 1 pad.

So I highly recommend it as it gave me back my energy and my life.

Hi Torlina

I had a Uterine Fibroid Embolisation in April 2016. My stomach went

down and my frequent urination stopped. However, my period

Remained heavy and I started to get rectalmand bowel pain. I have

been in and out of hospital, back and forth to GP so many times

over the past few months. I have been scanned, xrayed, prodded

and poked. The only thing the could find was my large fibroid,

which had only shrunk 1cm and was classed as a failure. The

Doctors believe it is pressing against my rectum and back. I am

worse now then before the Embolisation. I am in constant pain,

can't work and spend my day in tears.

I now am looking at a hysterectomy. Thats is not to say that it dosnt

work. I have read a lot of women who have had success with it.

I just advise you to do your homework. It works less on large fibroids

and the younger you are as it is better closer to menopause.

I am having a hysterectomy because my family is finished although

They are reluctant as I am 37, I believe it can give me my life back.

I hope you find the right way for you.xxx

Thanks for the response i also hope it would relieve pressure off my rectum too..my mom had to have a hysterectomy. ..im just hoping all is not in vain ....i do my consultation tomorrow. .im nervous and want to be pain free
