Hi all.
I keep getting a strange weight less feeling like a drop out like the feeling you get as a swing reaches its highest point and then changes direction then it's followed by a buzz of all my main pain points.
Has anyone else had this
Hi all.
I keep getting a strange weight less feeling like a drop out like the feeling you get as a swing reaches its highest point and then changes direction then it's followed by a buzz of all my main pain points.
Has anyone else had this
Omg yesterday I was in so much pain. My pain meds didn't work. I wanted to cry. I had to pick my grandson s at school.I was so out of it, I kept losing things. I finally laid down at my daughters and her comes my daughter, can u hold addie mom. Oh ure not feeling good! I love addie with all my heart but I didn't feel like holding her!
This morning I was sleeping in, and my grandson calls. Grandma I left my backpack in ur car, can u take it to school. There goes sleeping in!
Yes! I have never known how to describe it but that description you have given just about sums it up! Its awful, no idea why it happens though. Are you under a rheumatologist?
I'm not, I have now been passed on to the Liverpool pain management team
never had that but i do get lightheaded .
which is a simuliar feeling you describe to being on a swing.
have u had your blood pressure checked .
I did a few weeks back all was ok then but I was getting the same feeling a long time before that.
Living on the Isle of Man it is a little difficult as we don't have all the specialists here so we have to travel to Liverpool, then when you get there everything is rushed through in one hour.
I am being considered for their Pain Management Course which is 16 days with the right people so hopefully I will learn a lot there.
Oh my days, I know that feeling, it's awful. I usually hold onto so etching until it passes otherwise I think I'd fall over. It can make me feel kind of sick too!
Isn't FM so much fun 😏
Hello,
Oh yes I can totally relate to this, another lovely symptom of Fibro!
I just have to concentrate on my breathing & wait for it to pass so that I don't get get panicy. The worst time is when it happens when I'm driving somewhere & it really is quite scary then :\ Sending fibro Hugs to all you suffers

yes i start to panic because its really quite scary , but just like you i try to focus on my breathing until it passes .
i think i get scared because i had a really bad inner ear attack in 96 it just came on ut of the blue , just collasped on floor and couldnt get back up , beads of sweat were ousing out all over and i couldnt move my head with out everything spinning ,it was horriable had to call an ambulance . so evrytime i feel light headed i panic in case its that again. so far and touch wood its not happened again.
tian . in yorkshire
graham, read the symptoms for "simple partial seizures" in case that's what you are having.
I believe its very good and I am waiting to go there too. I am very close to Liverpool though.
Carinaeta,
Thanks for the advice, i don't think that's it but i will put it on my list to discuss with my Dr' .....
Oh, I frequently get that, happened just this evening. I was walking (well, hobbling more like!) back to my room from the kitchen and was in so much pain I had to stop and sit down for a while. When I stood up again, I got exactly that sensation - I thought I was going to drop my glass of milk. Buzzing everywhere, and felt like I was floating, detached from the floor - I had to lean on the door post until the feeling went away.
I get that feeling exactly. Mine also feels like being in slow motion and the floor just rushes up. Its horrible and I sometimes smack my arm on the table if I am over it or the counter tops in the kitchen. I have burnt my arms on hot irons if it happens when I am ironing. I have recently started to get the feeling in my mouth and jaw muscles and my words come out stuttery for a moment. What else does FMS have in store...or maybe its the meds. I am on pregabalin. Any ideas? Keep smiling.
Yes I get the slur or stuttering words and can almost hear it as it happens,
I am on pregablin and last month found out that the hospital consultant had me on a dose that was not recognised by the "British medical asociation book of knoledge" I was taking 3 - 300mg capsules per day but the medical bible states a maximum of 600mg per day so I've been overdosed for 11 month's
Hi Graham. I am relieved to hear that I am not alone with the twitching jaw and muscle spasms (not that I wish it on others) but I am horrified to think your doctor has had you on an overdose of pregabalin for 11 months. Not surprised you were getting side effects. I was told by my consultant that I am on the highest dose they are allowed to precsribre - 300mg twice a day. I hope now that you are on the correct dose you will get rid of these muscle twitches in your jaw. I am going to ask if I can lower my dose to see if that helps because when the side effects first started i would only experience a twitch in my arm and it would just fall on its own accord , usually smacking down onto something. But as time has gone on, I get my legs dropping and I fall to the floor sometimes and now the twitchy jaw muscles. It kind of scares me to think what will happen when I have been on it even longer. Not only that but the feeling in my jaw is unpleasant and I would love to get rid of it. Good luck .
Hi.
yes it is scary but as time goes and personnel start losing their jobs in our health service it starts to become clear that there has been a lot of problems.
A few weeks ago I had attend A&e and had to have a cannula put in. The Junior Doctor pushed the needle straight through my vein and whatever she hit the pain pinned me to the bed.
6 weeks down the road and I find out that it caused a haematoma in my wrist which has now become infected. So I know have an 6 pills per day to rattle through my system.
As if we don't suffer enough hey...........
