Fibromyalgia & Ankylosing spondyloarthritis at same time..

AS and fibromyalgia.at same time. Who else has it and how often do you have fibro flares?

...

Hi, jillian:  I have Fibro and it can get really bad.  I have flare ups every once in a while to where I can't get out of bed.  I had one last week.  I never know when one is going to hit but it cripples me.  I take Tramadol and Lyrica for mine...hope this helps...

Hi there Carole, thanks for that info, I will trial 75mg lyrica tomorrow prior to when I always commence a flare- I' m optimistic that it could help and I know that I have the lee-way to do so, since previous discussions about lyrica with my Dr and rheumatologist. In the meantime, I will research tramadol.

I hope it helps, jillian...there are a few side effects, but it really eases the pain for me (Lyrica)...Tramadol is an opiote and can be addictive, but I take two every day...Feel better soon, sweetie...

Hiya, yes, i have AS, PsA & Fibro, at the moment i'm on co-codamol, gabepentin, prednisolone, setraline and ad-cal. The gabapentin has helped with some aspects of fibro flares, i no longer get the 'sparkler burn' sensation in my arms, but other than that, i can't say i've seen much improvement. The pain relief & pred for my AS/PsA is not working at all. i'm desperately hoping at my next rheumy appointment in a month will bring some more relief and proper meds, as i can't carry on like i have been. I feel i have been in permanent fibro flare over last 6 weeks or so, but i think it seems worsened because of the other pains and fatigue. I see alot of posts positive about tramadol, unfortunately i can't have it, or any other anti-inflamatory as they aggravate my asthma. Hope the lyrica works for you. x
