Fibula fracture no surgery 9 weeks out

Hello,

I fractured my fibule 1/28/18. I was told I did not need surgery. I wore a plaster cast for 4 weeks and was put in a walking boot. I was told I could bare weight in the boot immediately, but It took me 2 weeks to bare weight. I had it removed after 3 weeks and am having pain in my foot and a pronounced limp. i was told I do not need physical therapy. I feel a sharp pain near the break and am concerned about healing.

My last x ray was 4 weeks ago and it had not started to heal. i am not very impressed with my Dr. Does anyone have any input or ideas of what i should do next?

I believe bone needs 6-8 weeks to heal but sometimes longer. Soft tissues...ligaments, tendons, muscles may take longer. Pain may be from soft tissue and not from bone. I think some exercises/ physio essential to get movement back. My injury (broken fibula/ no surgery) was 31/12/17. I go to a physio class each week. I still limp a bit and still occasionally have aches or pains but physio happy with progress and I trust her.
