Hi Kaz. I was diagnosed in August 2012. I had been seeing 1 rheumatologist who was treating me for osteo and rheumatoid arthritis. He retired an I was passed to one of his colleagues who the first time I saw her stopped all my tablets by 2 and told me I had the osteoarthritis and that the rheumatoid arthritis was a wrong diagnosis and that I had probably had the fibromyalgia since 2008 when I was referred to the rheumatologist. Think I'm still coming to terms with it as I lost my job because of it. Gentle hugs. Hope you had a good day.😃

Oh Janet Im so sorry to hear you lost your through it that is just terrible and shouldnt be that way. Thats victimmization I dont know where you live in the world but an MP in the uk is debateing in he house of commons tomorrow how people with fibromyalgia are victimized at work. so that will be interesting to see how that goes in parliment. No one should what ever their disability should be victimizes from their place of work. It amazes me how you get 1 reumatologist say 1 thing and another another, you find it hard to know who to believe.I was diagnosed last march with fibro to be honest Imstill coming to terms with it and getting my head round it all. its certainly been a life changer. I have been in alot of pain today with my and stomach so not the best of days but on apositive note Ive managed to stay cool had fan on full blast all day take care gentle hugs sos so sorry you lost your job disgusting

Hi Kaz. I live in the UK. Bet we don't hear about the debate on the news. Gentle hugs

And me for sure..:-) xx

I was diagnosed nearly 30 years ago, Dr in the hospital told me it was caused by depression and lack of sleep, go away get treated take tablets for the depression and change my sleep pattern (at the time I had a three month old and twins a year older that all woke in the night). I didn't go near a Dr for over 10 years!!

Wow!! Susan, that's terrific to hear...wonder why.?....NO...don't ask...just accept..be blessed, have a lovely day...:-) xxx

Hi susan I cant believe he said that to, Im not supprised you didnt go near a dr for 10 years. drs are suppose to be their to sort us out medically, and if they cant then send you to see the relevent person that can. That drs attitude appauled me he was in the wrong proffession?. I gave come across a few drs like him and specialists they are around unfortunatly.take care gentle hug

Hi Janet I bet we wount either no one seems to care about us lot and how we are suffering?

if I can find anything out I will let you know take care gentle hugs keep cool x

He was the specialist, I think he was just saying what most Drs thought at the time. In some ways he did me a favour, my mother had committed suicide a few years before. My reaction was no way am I going to be depressed, be like my mum. So instead I learned to ignored the pain, never taken any meds for fibro, just pain killers.

Hi susan I came across a specialist with that attitude a very rude man dissmissive to what I was going through he ignored both my husband I in the consultation room the only time he spoke was when it came to be examined. he said theirs nothing wrong with you.I had had enough of his attitude so I gave him what for. the nurse that was in with me said good for you. his whole attitude was terrible. I rang my gp when I got back home complained about him told her that I would not go back and see him. she would have to refer me to some 1 else. I was not happy I can tell you drs specialists arnt god they have a duty of care o us. if they dont want to provide that care then their in the wrong proffession he certainly was I told him he was.take care gentle hug
