I had BV for about 10 years and last 3 years when I married it worsened ! I had it every single time after intercourse ! I constantly took metronidazole for 3 years and it didn't help . So I stopped taking it . I visited many doctors including Mayo Clinic! And doctors prescribed only metronidazole . But METRONIDAZOLE makes BV worse and chronic as antibiotics kill bad and good (lactobacillus ) bacteria in vagina . If there are no good bacterias BV will come back again and again ! .what really helped me is a NARURAL TREATMENT WITH BORIC ACID FOR 21 days !!!! Not less than 21! Boric acid creates acid environment in vagina to kill pathogens .Take a boric acid capsule vaginally for 21 days at night and in 21 days I used high potency lactobacillus probiotics (50 billions) Vaginally not orally . Oral probiotics seldom reach vagina so they don't help much . So I bought empty gelatin capsules on eBay and transferred probiotic powder into a gelatin capsule and inserted vaginally for 7days . AND BV HAS GONE !!!!dont have it for 3 months !! Also I constantly take boric acid capsule vaginally twice a week (usually after inter course )to constantly maintain acidic it's of vagina !!!

My boyfriend told me to wash myself with camomile tea and after one evening of trying it worked. I made a jug of camomile tea, left it to cool down and then took cotton pads and dipped them in the tea and washed myself with them. I finally dipped a tampon in the tea and insert it for 15mins and the next day my BV had gone. I have suffered for 2 years so please also try this method. I couldn't believe it worked! Good luck

Did you get the watery discharge? Also, how were your vaginal fluids while on boric acid? Did you see normal secretions during treatment or just the watery discharge?

I did the same thing! Boric acid worked for me!! I am so thankful after spending 5 months of antibiotics off and on. smile Yay!!
