Hi everyone I just wanted to give an update, for those of you that know me. I was able to see a new GYN through the ER... I do have a infection and it's not nice.. Im on antibiotics now but still in allot of pain.. I'm just so thankfull I did not give up. I KNOW MY OWN BODY. Thanks you Matron for your advice... God bless anyone who has this surgery.
andrea I was wondering how you were. Well done for getting a new gynaecologist and treatment. I hope you've also got pain relief.
Hi Andrea, What was wrong with you after surgery? x
Im taking pain med's, and it's helping.. There is so much swelling the doctor could only fit his pinkie finger inside.. The infection is causing the swelling... I sure hope im on the mend now.. My new GYN told me to come see him in his office in a week.. Thank God
Yes thank goodness. You deserve some excellent treatment from a good gynaecologist
It's a long story but The first night I got home I popped a stitch and was gushing blood. I was able to stop the bleeding myself. Not to worry though there are plenty other Stitchs to hold it together on the inside. but along with the popped stitch came allot of pain.. Then the paraneal repair stitches started to come out. I went to the doctor and she put some Silver Nitrate on it to burn the open wound ouch! after that Things kinda went down hill.. I had a fever at night and lots of pain.. I was sleeping 20 hours a day. I finally got a new GYN and he did the tests that should have been done befor. I have an infection.. My discharge was white and watery with a fish smell. YUK!!! Im five weeks tomorrow.. I sure hope im on the mend now. Hope this helps
You've definitely been through the mill so to speak andrea. You should never have had to suffer the way that you have.
oh bless you hun.. I wish you lots of love and speedy healingxx
Lets just say im glad to have had this forem, it means that I record of everything I have been through...
IM SURE you will be fine soon and be able to put all this behind you .x
Oh that sounds awful !! Poor you ! So glad you have got some good treatment now and hopefully will start to feel so much better xx
Hi a silly question I no.but is it still poss to get that ache you get when you ovulate even though I haven't had a period since Aug..last year..didn't have it for long..
A lot of people (and some health professionals) believe that if you ovulate you have to have a period but that's not the case. It isn't very common but it happens so yes you could well be ovulating.
Ok thank you..when are you allowed to have a bath..oh I no this is silly but how many stitches will they be.and one more question when is ok to drive again..I had my opp 22nd Dec,.but I dearnt drive ๐
Matron is just the best ๐๐
You can drive after 6 weeks but if anyone wants to drive before they should check with their insurance company. Some surgeons advise you can have a bath straight away but usually it's 6 weeks. This is to prevent the sutures from getting soggy. Regarding the number of stitches again this depends on the surgeon and the patient of course (weight) but about 4-6 either side of the repair and a few in the vaginal wall. You don't always see your sutures when they dissolve, I didn't.
Ok thank you Again I rang my insurance comp about a week after I'd had it done, they said they don't have a time limit it entirely up to you.im goin to wait 6 weeks anyway..I thought they would be more stiches than that I've only had one white one come out..well what I've seen anyway..stick to the showers then,,just over 2 weeks to go,,๐ณ๐
The emergency stop is the issue, if you have to do one without being in excruciating pain or what is even more worrying, if you don't have the strength to do one. There is a simple test though. If you can stamp your foot hard on the floor without it causing pain then you will be ok.
Thanks very kind of you debra ๐๐
Ok I get that I'm not desperate to drive I'm goin to make sure I'm ready first..ps don't no were I would be without your invaluable advice..if I start to worry about anything I say to my husband I'm goin to ask Matron ๐๐
