I had back surgery 9 mos ago and I have not been able to grow my fingernails back since, even though I have taken biotin for 4 months. I still have no n as is. what can I dr i?
have you had any blood tests lately??? Sounds more like a calcium deficient. Im the complete opposite my hair/ nails growing great. I had a vitD and iron deficiency so now taking them as well as magnesium and Vit B12 supplements.

Have you tried adding zinc, it helps hair/nail growth. My hubby was having a problem with growing his nails after an op and drugs given, they would keep splitting. I gave him a supplement prostex (bladder problem) his nails recovered and the only thing I can put it down to is the zinc in this supplement.
sounds like it’s a vitamin d & calcium loss. I’m on 75k, 2500mg of calcuim & 1k of vitamin d daily. have your dr perform some blood tests.
