After waking in the night with what I thought was a heart attack, my GP this morning diagnosed Tietze and I am on two courses of tablets (one Ibuprofen)
The pain is on my right hand side and spreads from the middle of the chest to the right arm/shoulder and neck.
How long does this last? I am due to America on 6 Sept for the holiday of a lifetime I have had booked for 18 months - will I have to cancel it?
Can I exercise gently while I have it as well?
ive had it for 6years stress and anxcity triggers it of if u did have a heart attack in nthe future u wont know as u would put it down to tietzie its not a nice thing i ended up with social phobia through it hope it gose away soon
get voltarol emulgel to rub on it please dont let it get you down go on holiday life to short just learn how 2 cope with it 2morr is another day
Unfortunately there is nothing they can do with Tietze. I have had it for over 10yrs now and it is just a case of learning to live with it. Dont let it stop you from going on holiday. Make sure you take your meds with you, you never know being on holiday might help as stress set it off. Remember and take each day as it comes.
hi lassie wat meds do u take for it ive got it really bad the now im finding it hard 2 cope with and its worse on the run up to my period any advice
Hello,
I have had loads of scans etc, been to many doctors, a rhuematologist I saw seemed to know more about the condition and said it can be quite a common condition.I try not to take anything that masks the pain.I find that stress of physical activity (such as lifting a child) does bring it on esp the next day. I was given a artheritus pill which i reacted to (chills and fever). There are some chinese \"happy pills\" which make you relax..sometimes I take those or just have a glass of red wine in the evening!
It flares up from time to time with me and stops me in my tracks!..I sympathise with everybody on here as it can be very frightening esp if the pain refers to the centre of your chest.I did some physical activity yesterday (mowed the lawn) which has brought it on today..I just tell myself to relax and it will be ok..it has affected my job and now I have to work from home....people thought I was a hyper-condriac at first..I just wish they knew what i was going through! I also think posture may have something to do with it and spending too much time at the computer..if anyone has any more recommendations please let us know.
Kind regards
Miles
