It was a good first day back after 3 months off with left hip replacement. No pain. Walked about 7000 steps and office work. Really feels good to be back to a normal life.
How long were you out of work for? I was out for almost 3 weeks. I always want to hear other people’s recovery stories. It was a long road even after going back to work. But completely worth it!
Great news Carol. You’re right, it’s good to get back to normality. (But make sure you don’t overdo it!)
Hi Carol
I will be 4 weeks post op THR on Thursday and plan to go back at 5 weeks . I’ve been great to be honest and could go back now but I’m being cautious as I work in construction and building I’m working on is 6 stories and no lifts at present . I’m cycling and doing some gym work as plan to start running again as soon as I can also.
I have been off for 3 months. As per surgeon’s orders. I had posterior method and spent my time off getting strength back. I could not imagine going back at 3 weeks, was not even close to strong enough for that. I am back full time though and had no issues whatsoever.

I thought I was doing well but going back at 3 weeks would have been a push. I have been off all medication and walking aids since day ten and cycling from day 12 and up and down stairs no problem but I do worry about tripping at work back too early .
