I’m in the middle of my first outbreak and I don’t know what day of it i’m into because I just got my diagnoses yesterday but something tells me i’ve had it since last saturday (12/22). but I have a herpes rash on my chest and in between my breasts. it’s killing me and it’s super itchy and my bra rubs on one part of the breakout. is this something that happens often or just the first OB? do I have the chance of getting these every time I have a breakout? and about when will I start noticing myself feeling better. i’m miserable!
It's unusual to get herpes on your chest during any outbreak, whether first or subsequent. Are you sure it's HSV or is it perhaps shingles (VZV)?
they swabbed me down there and said it came back positive for hsv. but I read online you could get them in your chest
The few people who get herpes on their chests are usually wrestlers, because of all the rough skin contact with possible cold sores and the chance for skin abrasions, etc. Regular intact skin is not susceptible to herpes, which is why you normally get it on the lips or genitals (not regular skin, but mucosal).
